The sealing of the product in minimal time (e.g. primary packing shortly after manufacturing to ensure no damage to product by moisture, heat, or any contamination).
Secondary packing in jars and pouches.
Controlled temperature and humidity conditions in manufacturing and packing areas with a minimum human touch, wherever required.
Sujal Foods firmly believes in the manufacturing & selling of high-quality Sugar Confectionery & Wafer Products. So it has heavily invested in setting and maintaining a full-fledged Quality Assurance Set-up that functions independently of the manufacturing function. The Quality Assurance function is driven by people who are qualified as Food Technologists/ Chemists/ Microbiologists with 3 to 20 years of experience.
The company has an excellent infrastructure in the Quality Assurance Department comprising the latest sophisticated State-of-the-Art Equipment for routine analysis of the incoming raw material and packaging material, In-process parameters, and finished goods. The company also has a Microbiological Laboratory for doing relevant microbiological tests on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
All the ingredients used in the manufacturing of confectionery products at Sujal Foods has mandatory requirement to meet the country's regulatory and best practices. The company subjects its vendors to an elaborate vendor approval process before the vendor is approved for the purchase of ingredients. In this way, the company ensures that it purchases its ingredients from reputed and quality vendors only. Each and every raw material and packaging material are subjected to an incoming inspection plan comprising the sampling of material and its testing. The material is accepted only if it is found to be complying with the laid down parameters for that material.
The company firmly believes in continuously improving the Quality System and Food Safety Management System. The company has been certified with ISO 22000 for its food safety management system.
Sujal Foods maintains hygienic practices in its manufacturing facilities. It includes using disposable gloves while handling products, appropriate face masks who are handling primary packed products, appropriate hand washing facilities, sanitation at all the entrances of the facility, etc. Pre-requisites as per the requirement of ISO 22000 are being implemented in the manufacturing facility. Some of them are personnel hygiene of the food handlers is maintained and practiced at all levels of production to maintain food safety.
The manufacturing processes at Sujal Foods is carried out in the two manufacturing units: Unit 1 at Talchowk and Unit 2 at Bijayapur, Pokhara, Nepal with specific product ranges.

The product characteristics, specifications of material at various stages, and acceptance criteria are unambiguously defined, documented, and suitably compiled.
The critical activities bearing a significant role in the output quality are executed following well-defined work instructions.
Pre-defined sampling and test/inspection norms and schemes along with specific devices for monitoring/measurement are carried out.
